Ministry of Public Security hosts dinner for foreign representatives in Vietnam

PSNews - The Ministry of Public Security on Jan. 15 organized a gala dinner for ambassadors, representatives of foreign security and police rep-offices and international organizations in Vietnam as well as representatives of Vietnam's ministries, departments and agencies on the occasion of the 2020 Lunar New Year.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh emphasized that, in 2019, the Vietnamese Public Secuirty Forces strictly followed the Vietnam Communist Party’s guidelines and Vietnamese laws as well as implemented treaties and agreements between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations on preventing and fighting crimes while playing a key role in protecting national security and social order, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, culture and external relations.

The Deputy Minister highlighted the efforts of the Vietnamese Public Security Forces (PSF) and thanked foreign ambassadors, security, police, interior rep-offices of foreign countries and international organizations in Vietnam for their positive contribution and close coordination with the Vietnamese PSF. 

He also spoke highly of the comprehensive and effective coordination and support of Vietnamese ministries and agencies for the Vietnamese MPS in performing its missions. He wished to receive further supports and effective coordination of domestic and international partners in the coming time.

On the occasion of the New Year 2020, on behalf of the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh extended best wishes to all guests and their families.

On behalf of the foreign guests, Mr. Jeong Woo Jin, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Vietnam, vowed that all security and police rep-offices of foreign countries and international organizations will continue expanding cooperation and coordination with Vietnam’s MPS in particular and bolstering relations between Vietnam and other countries and international organizations.
