Ministry of Public Security offers medical supplies to France amid COVID-19 pandemic

The Ministry of Public Secrurity offered 10,000 medical facemasks to the Ministry of Interior of France via the French embassy in Vietnam, backing their efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the authority of General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong, Director of the Foreign Relations Department under the Ministry of Public Security, on April 24 presented 10,000 medical facemasks to the Ministry of Interior of France via the French embassy in Vietnam, backing their efforts in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the event, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong affirmed that Vietnam and the Republic of France always attach importance to promoting their strategic partnership in accordance with the principles in the Joint Declaration for the benefits of the two peoples, and for regional and global peace, security, stability and prosperity.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and its French partners have also actively fostered cooperation in crime prevention and control, and achieved various outstanding results over the past time, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong added.

On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General Truong Van Thong also expressed hope that the two sides will continue to boost up comprehensive cooperation in the time to come.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Vietnam Nicolas Warnerythanked the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for the timely and practical support.

Mr. Nicolas Warnery also affirmed that he will continue to promote relations between the two countries as well as between the French law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in the future, for the benefits of the two peoples, and for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and in the world as well.
