Ministry of Public Security's Office rolls out working plan for 2020

The Ministerial Office of the Ministry of Public Security on February 6 held a conference to review its task performance in 2019 and roll out its working plan for 2020.

In 2019, the office successfully fulfilled its working plan under the leadership and guidance of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security. It effectively performed its functions of giving advice to leaders of the MPS and directing agencies and units of the People's Public Security Forces at all levels to do staff work.

The office also did a good job as the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security last year. It provided information on security, social order and force building to press agencies in a timely and effective manner via regular news briefings, announcements and on the Ministry of Public Security’s Web Portal.

The working results and efforts of the Office in 2019 were recognized and highly appreciated by the Public Security Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security.

At the 75th National Public Security Conference, Ministry of Public Security’s leaders had spoken highly of the achievements of the office in 2019. For its outstanding achievements, the Ministerial Office was among the 18 public security agencies and units that received the emulation flags from the Government in the “For Homeland Security" Movement.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang requested the office to well perform its key function of giving exact analysis, evaluation and forecast of the security situation, assisting the Public Security Central Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security in leading all public agencies and units to successfully fulfill their assigned missions.

As the Ministry of Public Security’s Spokesperson, the office should provide the press and media as well as the public with information about public order and security situations and issues in a timely and effective manner.

The Deputy Minister also urged the office to well advise the Ministry of Public Security’s leaders on approaches to ensure security and safety for important events in 2020, especially the Party congresses at all levels and other international meetings within the frameworks of Vietnam’s ASEAN Chairmanship Year 2020 and Vietnam’s Non-Permanent Membership of the United Nations Security Council.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang also asked the office to attach great importance to promoting administrative reforms, enhancing the application of technology and science, promoting Party building and the building of clean, united and disciplined public security forces.
