Ministry of Public Security's premises need upgrading: Minister To Lam

General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Construction, co-chaired the event.
According to the resolutions adopted at the 13th National Congress and 7th Public Security Party Congress, the modernization of working conditions and places for the People's Public Security Forces (PPSF) plays an important role in modernizing the forces.
In fact, the current headquarters of the MPS is small in size and poor in furnish, in comparison to other countries. This fact requires that the headquarters and some other premises of the MPS should be rebuilt or upgraded, in line with the regulations on ministerial-level headquarters and premises.
Speaking the event, Minister To Lam asked the MPS's relevant agencies to collaborate with their counterparts of Ministry of Construction to address the issue in accordance with the laws.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Minister of Construction urged relevant agencies of the two ministries to enhance coordination in order to overcome difficulties and problems arising in the realization of key construction projects of the MPS.
