Ministry of Public Security sends medical supplies to the Ministry of Interior of Angola

Under the authority of General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, Major General Nguyen Thanh Son, Deputy Director of Foreign Relation Department on June 1 sent medical supplies to the Angolan Ministry of Interior via the Angolan Embassy in Vietnam.

Major General Nguyen Thanh Son, Ambassador Agostinho Andre De CarvalhoFernandes, and other delegates at the meeting.

Sharing information about the disease situation in Vietnam with Mr. Agostinho Andre De Carvalho Fernandes,  Angolan Ambassador to Vietnam, Major General Nguyen Thanh Son stated that the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam has been under control. 

Socio-economic activities in Vietnam have been gradually restored while the country continues measures to prevent a possible disease outbreak, Major General Nguyen Thanh Son added.

In the context of the complicated situation of COVID-19 in Angola, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam wanted to share part of its resources with the Angolan Ministry of Interior, by sending 10,000 antibacterial face masks, 300 antibacterial suits, and quick disinfectant liquid to it in support of its effort in the fight against the pandemic.

Ambassador Agostinho Andre De Carvalho Fernandes sincerely thanked the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Minister To Lam for the timely support of medical supplies.

He said that the support has demonstrated the good traditional friendship and  cooperationbetween Angola and Vietnam in general, between the Angolan Ministry of Interior and theVietnamese Ministry of Public Security in particular in the fight against COVID-19.
