Mobile Police of Hanoi receives noble award
PSNews – The Municipal Police of Hanoi held an event on May 14 to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Mobile Police Regiment (May 15, 1989 – 2019) and receive a third-class Fatherland Protection Order.

The event saw the presence of Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong, Commander of the Mobile Police; Mr. Nguyen Van Suu, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, and Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Vien, Vice Director of the Hanoi Municipal Police Department.
The Mobile Police Regiment of Hanoi was established on May 15, 1989 under a decision of the Municipal Police Department in line with directions from the Ministry of Home Affairs (now Ministry of Public Security).
During its 30-year development, the Regiment made various contributions to ensuring security and order in the capital city. It always fulfilled its prime tasks of protecting national-level events, activities attended by leaders of the Party, the State, and international events taking place in Hanoi, and participating in preventing and fighting crimes.
The Regiment has been honored many times by the State President, the Prime Minister, the MPS, the People’s Committee of Hanoi and the Director of the Municipal Police for its great contributions and achievements.
Particularly, the Regiment was awarded the title “Hero of the Armed Forces” by the State President in 2010. This year, on the occasion of the ceremony to mark its 30th founding anniversary, the Regiment of Mobile Police of Hanoi has just been presented with the third-class Fatherland Protection Order.
