New Director of Da Nang Police appointed
Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended and delivered a keynote speech at the event.
Under the Decision, Senior Colonel Le Van Tam (aged 59), current Director of the Municipal Police Department was to leave the position from September 1 for retirement.

Major General Vu Xuan Vien (aged 54, was born in Tinh Hoa Commune, Son Tinh District, Quang Ngai Province), Director of the Staff Department under the MPS was appointed as the new Director of the Da Nang Municipal Police Department from September 1.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son highly appreciated the contribution of Senior Colonel Le Van Tam, former Director of the Da Nang Police Force. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son hoped that Senior Colonel Le Van Tam would continue to contribute to the stability and development of the Da Nang Police force.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also handed the Decision on the appointment to Major General Vu Xuan Vien. He believed that the new Director of the Da Nang Police, with his experience and skills, would quickly grasp the situation and well perform his new missions in his new position.
Major General Vu Xuan Vien holds a Bachelor Degree in Security and a Master of Law Degree. He has over 36 years working in the Public Security Forces.
