Nghe An police visits mother of female martyr Dinh Thi Vinh

PSNews – On behalf of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Police visited and presented gifts to the mother of female martyr Dinh Thi Vinh, on May 25, in Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province. 

Female martyr Dinh Thi Vinh was born in 1950, in a farmer family in Quynh Ngoc commune, QuynhLuu district. Her father was a revolutionary cadre from the pre-uprising period.

She joined the youth volunteer campaign during the resistance war against American invaders, and in charge of supporting military vehicles through key points of the life - line section in Truong Bon.

During the time working in Truong Bon, she just came back home to visit her family once. Unfortunately, she was killed in a bombing.

Her father died years ago but her 105–year-old mother is still alive and lives in a gratitude house.

On behalf of Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Provincial Police, handed over to the mother of martyr Dinh Thi Vinh a savings book worth VND 50 million.

This present showed the care and gratitude of leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to martyr Dinh Thi Vinh's family, and also served as a good wish to the mother’s health.
