According to Major Ngo Thanh Son, Secretary of the People’s Police College 2 Youth Union Organization, for many years, following the direction of the College’s Party Committee and the Board of Directors, the Youth Union organization in coordination with various hospitals has mobilized their officials and students to participate in the voluntary blood donation drives.
This was the third voluntary blood donation festival of the school in the 2018 academic year. The festival was an occasion for officials and students to express their solidary and support as well as their sentiment for their comrades.
Such a donation drive also provides an opportunity for the school’s officials and students to do the noble deed of blood donation to save lives of their comrades who are wounded while performing their duties, or who are ill and in need of blood.
At the festival, more than 320 staff members and students participated in the blood donation to contribute to blood reserves of Ho Chi Minh City’s hospitals.
In May, the school organized the second phase of the voluntary blood donation program 2018 with the participation of 230 staff members and students.
