The People's Police Academy (PPA) on December 3 in coordination with Can Giuoc district (Long An province) and sponsors organized the voluntary program "Brave Long An."

The event, featuring the national traditions "When drinking water, remember its source" of the Vietnamese people,  witnessed the presences of Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee; Vietnamese Heroic Mother Bien Thi Tu; leaders of Long An province; and Lieutenant General, Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Yem, Director of the PPA.

Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Nguyen Xuan Yem highlighted voluntary activities in various localities of the PPA's youths in recent years. The voluntary program "Brave Long An"  was one of the activities to celebrate the 50th Traditional Day of the PPA.

He hoped that the meaningful gifts of the PPA's students and sponsors would contribute to supporting local policy beneficiary families and encouraging poor local children to overcome difficulties to study better.

At the event, the PPA and sponsors presented 70 packs of gifts to policy beneficiary families (worth 1 million VND each); handed over a gratitude house worth of 50 million VND and 30 TV to the Can Giuoc district People's Committee and policy beneficiary families. The missions also presented 100 bicycles (worth 1.3 million VND each) and 500 helmets to local students.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Giuoc district respectfully appreciated and extended deep thanks to the valuable support and care of Standing Deputy Minister Truong Hoa Binh, the PPA and sponsors.

He also wished that the policy beneficiary families in the locality would further promote the tradition of the father generation to strive to build a better life, and that the students receiving gifts today would continue to study hard to realize their dreams in the future. These realities would be the most sincere thanks to the care of the PPA and sponsors, he concluded.
