PSF contribute significantly to preventing Covid-19 in the country

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, hosted a meeting in Da Nang to review the COVID-19 prevention and control work of all public security agencies and units across the country over the past time.

The meeting saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, Deputy Minister of Health among other leaders of the Da Nang authorities.

According to a report delivered by Senior Colonel Pham Thi Lan Anh, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Public Security’s Health Department, the MPS has effectively taken preventive measures against the COVID-19 in the Public Security Forces (PSF) while coordinating with other ministries and agencies to control the disease in the community.

Particularly, the provincial police forces of Vinh Phuc province, which had a number of COVID-19 patients, have actively and effectively controlled the disease situation and quarantined the COVID-19-suspected local people, contributing to maintaining local security and social order.

At airports and border gates, the police forces coordinated closely with other relevant authorities to enhance the management of travelers and prevent COVID-19 infection.

At the meeting, representatives of local police units briefed the MPS’s leader on their disease prevention and control work over the past time.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son stated that various foreign countries and international organizations have hailed Vietnam’s efficient disease prevention and control work over the past time. The PSF have contributed significantly to the country’s effort.

Regarding missions in the coming time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son requested all public agencies and units to take more serious preventive measures to ensure absolute safety for the people and political events in localities amid the complicated developments of the disease.
