PSNews – The People's Police Academy in collaboration with Dat Mui commune authorities, Ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province held a ceremony to inaugurate Khao Thi bridge.

Dat Mui commune is the southernmost place of Vietnam, which features interlacing rivers and interwinding canals; as a result, local people have to mainly travel by water and meet many difficulties. 100 households of Khe Ap village have ever been dreaming about a bridge to facilitate their by-land traveling.

Understood the difficulties of the local people, the People's Police Academy has mobilized 300 million VND from donors for the bridge project, then collaborated with the Dat Mui authorities to start building the bridge from October 2016.

Khao Thi bridge is 36m in length and 2.5m in width, load bearing capacity is 2.5 tons. The bridge after being opened to traffic helps people travel easily, contributing to  local socio-economic development.

At the inauguration, the People's Police Academy and donors presented 500 schoolbags (totally worth 50 million VND) and 2,500 notebooks (totally worth 16 million VND) to disadvantaged children in Ka Long Primary and Secondary School.
