People's Police College 2 opens new academic year 2018-2019

PSNews - The People's Police College 2 on October 9 held a ceremony to open its 2018-2019 academic year and launch the new K25S course. Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security attended the event.

Delivering his speech at the ceremony, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Duc Khien, Rector of the People's Police College 2 said that, during the previous academic year, the police discipline and regulations of the school were well maintained and observed seriously while the education and training quality has been improved. The school has 165 instructors recognized as “Excellent Teacher” at all levels, including 25 excellent teachers at the Ministerial level.

Besides, the school also collaborated with the Public Security Political Academy, the National Political Academy’s branch 2, and the Dong Nai Provincial Politic School to open training courses for officers of southern police units to be office-level leaders.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son applauded and highly valued the achievements gained by the People's Police College 2 in the past academic year. He urged the school to renew teaching methods based on the student-centered approach; provide more practical knowledge for students; apply effectively information technology in management, teaching, learning and scientific research.

The Deputy Minister also asked the school to to improve expertise and qualifications of its teachers and education managers with the aim of building its staff with high professional competency and abilities that can meet the educational and training requirements in the current context.

The school should also promote scientific research and compilation of new teaching materials in accordance with the real activities of police units, and consider this work as its political mission and basic approaches to improve the comprehensive competency and quality of its instructors.
