PSNews – As the flooding in Hoi An city has exceeded the third alarming level, the police force in Hoi An have been assigned to guard all day along the flooded roads to ensure safety for local people and tourists.

On December 16, the ancient town of Hoi An in Quang Nam province was deeply submerged in flood water when the Hoai River water exceeded the third emergency level.

The sale of tickets to visit the ancient city then has been suspended but visitors are seeking other ways to the city to enjoy Hoi An streets in flood.

In the situation, according to Senior Colonel Dinh Xuan Nghi, head of the the Hoi An Town Police, the local police has sent all officers and means to help local people and tourists cope with heavy rains and floods and maintain safety for people and tourists in the locality.

The Chief of the Hoi An Town Police also reported that the local police is now on 24/24 duty to maintain absolutely safety and security for local people and tourists.
