Police ensure security for Vieng market

PSNews – Although the weather was bad with heavy rains, about 10 thousand people and 1 thousand vehicles arrived in the market.

As planned, on February 4th, the Nam Dinh Provincial Police mobilized nearly 300 officers and soldiers, including criminal police, traffic police and mobile police, to ensure security and order for the Vieng market.

Despite heavy rains, about 10 thousand people and 1 thousand vehicles joined the market.

The traffic police of Nam Dinh cooperated with traffic police of neighboring provinces to monitor and manage traffic from the start of highway 10, avoiding long-time traffic congestion.

In Vu Ban district, the Vu Ban police force in collaboration with traffic and mobile police forces to form a line in the center of the road, creating lanes for vehicles, while resolutely demanding market stands not to encroach on the roadway.

The security and order situation in the Phu Giay relic site and market area was therefore maintained well during the market. No pickpockets, illegal gamblers and beggars were seen in the market area.

In addition, the Vu Ban District People’s Committee and the management board of the Phu Giay relic site well managed public car and motorbike parking spaces as well as private parking places.  The parking fees were also controlled under the regulations.

Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Ly, Head of the Vu Ban District Police said: “We have prepared and drawn up a security plan a month before. With the support of the Nam Dinh Provincial Police and neighboring provinces, this year festival went more smoothly.
