Police forces make special efforts to help flood-affected people

PSNews – A delegation of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on August 2 visited and worked with the local authorities of flooded areas in Chuong My district, Hanoi.

Hanoi Municipal Police has deployed forces to support flood-affected people

The delegation was led by Lieutenant General Pham Quang Cu, Vice Director of General Department of Logistics and Techniques, Vice Head of the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue of the MPS.

In recent days, due to heavy rains, various communes in Chuong My district were submerged by floodwater. Various schools, infirmaries and temples were damaged and flooded.

The Municipal Police Department of Hanoi has deployed forces and means to the localities in support of the affected people.

The local police units still maintain forces on duty around the clock in various critical flooded locations while using canoes to deliver food to the people. The Directorate of the Hanoi Police has also drawn up plans to support the local people after the floods withdraw.

Lieutenant general Pham Quang Cu highlighted the need to mobilize all forces to help people affected by the floods.
