Police forces urged to ensure safety for Kizuna Ekiden race 2019

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Minister of Public Security, on November 8 had a meeting with the Steering Board and Organizing Board of the Kizuna Ekiden 2019 race.

At the meeting. 

The Kizuna Ekiden 2019 race and the Vietnam – Japan golf tournament will be organized in Hanoi this November to promote solidarity and friendship, exchange of economics, culture and sports between the police forces, businesses and people of the two countries, within the framework of the cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and Japan’s Mainichi Shimbun and Total Security.

These sport events are part of activities to celebrate the 46th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh, who is also the head of the Steering Board of the two sport events, appreciated the preparation for the race and asked all units to ensure security and safety for the race.

He also urged relevant units to review fire prevention and fighting plans as well as to draw up good communications and healthcare plans. Deputy Minister Thanh also requested relevant units to provide good services for delegates and athletes, particularly international ones, during the sport events.
