Police handle over 3,000 waterway violations

PSNews - The Waterway Police in various localities have handled 3,180 cases of violating waterway regulations during a 7-day campaign, from September 11 to 18.

Particularly, the Waterway Police units nationwide deployed forces and means to carry out 1,344 waterway regulation inspections over waterway vehicles, made reports on 3,180 cases of violating waterway regulations, fined 3,323 faults in 2,901 cases and handed 2.6 billion Dong to the State Treasury.
Police units also detected and handled 27 cases of illegally exploiting and transporting sand, and arrested 5 suspects and 29 vehicles.
Earlier, police units had coordinated with the press and media to organize information campaigns to disseminate traffic laws and waterway regulations to owners and crewmen of waterway means.
