Police officer gets injured while chasing drug criminal

PSNews – Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung, Deputy Director of the Bac Ninh Provincial Police Department on August 21 visited, encouraged and presented gifts to Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Son, who was injured while chasing a drug criminal.

On behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Bac Ninh Police, Senior Colonel Nguyen Huu Hung praised the courage of comrade Son.
Earlier, on August 17, a task force of the Luong Tai District Police Station detected Nguyen Van Hieu (aged 30, residing at Thanh Gia village, Quang Phu Commune, Luong Tai District) in riding a motorbike on 281 highway.
The police decided that the subject was carrying illicit drugs.
When the task force stopped him, the suspect suddenly ran away.
Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Son, a police officer of the Quang Phu Commune Police Post quickly rushed toward the suspect and knocked him down.
The task force finally overpowered the suspect and seized a bag of drugs, but comrade Son broke his left arm while struggling with the suspect.
