Police press agencies must take initiative in fighting distorted views

PSNews-On March 30, the General Department of Public Security Politics (G.D 3) held a press briefing of March 2017. Lieutenant General Le Van De, Deputy Director of the G.D 3 chaired the event.

As stated in the conference report, in the past time, the public security force’s news agencies have closely followed the orientation of the Ministry of Public Security, the Central Commission for Education and Communications of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ministry of Information and Communications. 

The public security force’s press and media have focused on disseminating the implementation of Resolution No.4 of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo's Directive No. 05 on enhancing the moment“Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style,” in line with the campaign of "Building on manners of the People's Police – bravery, humanity and devotedness to the people.”

The press and media of the public security force have always upheld their principles and aims; promptly disseminated information about activities and achievements of the People's Public Security Forces, crime prevention and suppression, and resolutely fight wrong views and distorted information of hostile forces.

In addition, the public security force’s press and media managed to promptly praise many good and outstanding examples in the forces. Meanwhile, their publications and TV and radio programs have quickly and exactly reported current news and events as well as touched on many issues of great pubic concern. As a result, the publications and TV and radio programs of the public security force’s press and media have been highly appreciated by readers and audiences at home and overseas.

Delivering the concluding remark at the meeting, Lieutenant General Le Van De asked the press and media agencies of the public security force to cover up all activities of leaders of the Party, the State and the Public Security Forces at home and overseas, follow up current events and latest news, and on time reflect economic, political, cultural and social situations of the country.
