PSNews - Young police officers of the Ministry of Public Security in collaboration joined hands with local forces in cleaning up the beachline in Tam Hai commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.

The Ministry of Public Security's Youth Union in collaboration with the Quang Nam Provincial Youth Union chapter and Nui Thanh District People’s Committee on August 14 held a program called "Let's clean up the beach - Say no to plastic waste" 2019 with the aim of cleaning the beach in Tam Hai commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province.

The drive attracted the participation of nearly 500 young police officers and local youths.

Major Dong Duc Vu, Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security's Youth Union said the activity was part of the program “Voluntary journey named after Uncle (Ho)” to celebrate the 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's testament (1969-2019) and 74th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Forces.

The drive did not only contribute to protecting the environment, but also helped raise local people’s awareness of preserving marine environment.

On this occasion, the Youth Union chapter of the Ministry of Public Security, in collaboration with kind donors, opened and handed over a playground for children worth 100 million VND to Tam Hai commune.
