Policemen actively join professional search and rescue sport competition

The 1st Professional Search and Rescue Sport Competition in 2017 for the fire police force was organized in 12 groupings with the participation of 173 teams. Grouping 9 was the last one holding the regional round.
The competition of Grouping 9 witnessed the participation of 15 teams from the 15 provincial fire police divisions namely: Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Son La, Hai Duong, Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Hung Yen, Bac Kan and Bac Giang.

The participants competed in various events such as search and rescue under water, 100m obstacle run, 4x100m obstacle run, and search and rescue in a smoky and toxic gas environment.
The competition was not only a practical drill for fire policemen to improve their physical strength and professional skills in search and rescue spheres, but also an opportunity for fire policemen to meet and exchange experience in search and rescue. It also contributed to raising the public awareness of search and rescue skills.

After 2 days of competition, the first prize went to the Hoa Binh Provincial Fire and Rescue Police, while the second prize was presented to Son La Provincial Fire and Rescue Police and the third prize was awarded to the Hai Duong Provincial Fire and Rescue Police.
The 3 teams will represent Grouping 9 to take part in the National Fire and Rescue Sport Competition.
