PSNews - The Women's Union of the Hai Phong Waterways Police Division in collaboration with its trade union and Waterway Police Unit 4 on October 3 visited and presented gifts to needy families and children living in fishing village along the Cam river, Hung Vuong ward, Hong Bang district, Hai Phong city.

The charity mission visited and inquired after nearly 40 residents of 13 households in the fishing village. These households live on boats and are in a very difficult state. Some of elderly people there also live alone.

On the occasion of the mid-autumn festival, the mission presented gifts to local people and children to encourage the children to overcome difficulties to continue their study.

Within the framework of the program, the mission also popularized traffic rules and safety to local people, which is part of the project "Women's Union disseminates traffic culture for the peace of water areas."

Such a charity trip combined with traffic law dissemination made by the Hai Phong police carries a practical meaning as the police can on one hand ease local people’s difficulties under te Vietnamese tradition "the good leaves protect the worn-out one" spirit among police officers and soldiers, and on the other hand explain traffic law and safety rules to them.
