The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) held a ceremony on September 24 in Hanoi to announce the State President's Decision on rank promotion to Major General Tran Quoc To, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the ceremony, under the authority of the State President, Minister To Lam handed the decision to promote Deputy Minister Tran Quoc To to Lieutenant General from Major General.

On behalf of the MPS’s leadership, Minister To Lam congratulated Deputy Minister To on the rank promotion and asked him to continue heightening his sense of responsibility and setting a good example for all public security officers and soldiers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To thanked the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government as well as the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS.

He promised to keep in mind Minister To Lam’s words at the ceremony and make more efforts to successfully complete the tasks assigned by the Party, the State, the Public Security Forces and the people.
