Major General Do Minh Dung, Deputy Director of the Fire Police Department on May 30 inspected the fire fighting plans for the Danang International Firework Festival (DIFF) 2019 in Danang city.

During the working session, Major General Do Minh Dung and the delegation highly valued the plans on fire safety and the readiness of the Danang fire police force to handle any possible fire during the DIFF 2019.

According to Major General Do Minh Dung, the fireworks festival, because of its high inflammability of fireworks, has many potentials for fire incidents and explosions. Thus, the fire police should be well prepared.

Earlier, Senior Colonel Tran Dinh Trung, Deputy Director of the Danang Minicipal Police Department said the units will deploy 40 means and 200 officers to ensure fire safety and be ready to quickly respond to any possible fire during DIFF 2019.

The DIFF 2019 starting on June 1 has attracted eight firework teams from around the world, namely Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, Italy, England, China, and the host Vietnam. Italy is the defending champion of the DIFF.

During the festival themed "Rivers tell stories," each team will present a performance highlighting the history and culture of the rivers of each nation and the residents living along them.

This year’s festival will look to wow spectators through a combination of fireworks displays, musical performances, art exhibitions and conceptual design, which will create a truly festive atmosphere all along the banks of the Han river in Danang and all around the city.

Set in a similar location to 2018 by Han River, this year the stage comes replete with a host of new technologies to create an even more dynamic and dazzling show. In the front of seating areas, there will be large LED screens so that audiences can watch art performances more closely.
