Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Subcommittee on Security and Order for election of the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term (the Subcommittee), chaired a meeting on June 3 to review the Public Security Forces’ work of safeguarding the recent election of deputies to the National Assembly (NA) and People's Councils.

At the meeting, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) and Standing Member of the Subcommittee, briefed the delegates on the working results of the Public Security Forces in ensuring public order and security for the event.
He affirmed that the Public Security Forces successfully ensured security and order for the significant political event of the country.
Particularly, relevant under-ministerial agencies and local police units applied various effective initiatives and good models in maintaining public order and security during the event. They obtained outstanding achievements in protecting the election and were recognized by the MPS leadership.
Addressing the event, on behalf of the Subcommittee, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the involved public security agencies and units for their efforts and contributions to the overall success of the election.
He asked the public security agencies and units to promptly complete summarization reports and submit them to the upper levels while promptly commending units and individuals with excellent achievements in ensuring security and order for the election.
In the time to come, the Public Security Forces should uphold their role in the fight against COVID-19, contributing to preventing negative impacts of the pandemic on socio-economic development of the country, the deputy minister emphasized.
