Public Security General Department of Politics held conference to sign 2017 emulation covenant

Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics attended and chaired the event.

The conference reported that, in 2016, the "For National Security" movement received due care from units’ leaders; as a result, it was implemented with renovated contents and in plentiful forms, generating  fruitful results.

Units’ leaders actively provided good advice to the higher-level leadership and effectively implemented force building and Party building, which has led to positive changes and created an ebullient atmosphere across the general department, contributing to encouraging all officers, soldiers and workers to successfully fulfill their  assigned tasks.

The conference also saw a ceremony to sign the 2017 emulation covenant among agencies and units of the Emulation Grouping.

The 2017 emulation covenant focuses on seriously implementing instructions and resolutions of the Party, State, Central Party Committee of Public Security and Ministry of Public Security, particularly the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress, Resolution of the 6th Party Congress of the Public Security Forces, and Resolution of the 9th Party Congress of the Political General Department.

The involved agencies and units should also strictly implement the movement "Building brave and humane police officers to serve people"; the Resolution of the 4th Meeting of the Party Central committee (term 12) on enhancing Party building and rectification work, preventing ideological, ethical and lifestyle degradation, phenomena of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” within the Party, and Directive No.5 of the Politburo on enhancement of the movement “Learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s thought, moral and lifestyle” in conjunction with the movement "Public security forces study and implement 6 Uncle Ho’s teachings."

On behalf of the leadership of the General Department Politics of Public Security, Major General Nguyen Quang Chu recognized and highly appreciated the fruitful results obtained by agencies and units of the General Department of Politics in 2016. He also asked all affiliated agencies and units to keep in mind and well implement the slogan of the Ministry of Public Security "Initiative, discipline, responsibility and efficiency" to promote unity among agencies and units to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
