Public Security Guard of Honor receives third-class “Fatherland Protection” Order

PSNews - The High Command of Mobile Police on Tuesday held a ceremony to mark its 20th founding anniversary (July 31, 1998-2018) and received the “Fatherland Protection” Oder of third class conferred on the Public Security Guard of Honor Unit. 

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quy Vuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended the ceremony.

The Public Security Guard of Honor is a unit specializing in carrying out ceremonies, protocols of the Public Security Forces and instructing other units to conduct the protocols under the regulations. At the same time, the unit is also responsible for participating in ensuring security and order and protecting political and diplomatic events and of the Party and the State.

In recognition of its achievements, the Public Security Guard of Honor Unit has so far received many noble awards from the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS). On the occasion of its 20th founding anniversary, the unit was honored with the “Fatherland Protection” Oder of third class by the State President.

On this occasion, many individuals of the unit were also presented Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security and the High Command of Mobile Police. The awards reflect the recognition and the trust of the Party, the State and the MPS to the Mobile Police Force in general and the Ceremonial Guard Unit in particular.  

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Party Central Committee of Public Security and leaders of the MPS, Deputy Minister Le Quy Vuong praised the achievements of the Public Security Guard of Honor Unit over the last 20 years.

He then urged the leadership of the unit to enhance political and ideological education among the force in order to improve police officers' political stances and loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; further advise the leaders of the MPS, the High Command of Mobile Police to perfect the public security protocols.

The Deputy Minister also asked the unit to strengthen Party and force building work, interior security, personnel management; ensure close relationships with local authorities and the People's Army; actively participate in gratitude activities to build a beautiful image of the public security officer in the hearts of people.
