Public Security Hospital 199 receives medical supplies supported by Central-level organizations

The Public Security Trade Union Executive Committee on behalf of Da Nang-basedHospital 199 under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) has just received anti-pandemic medical supplies and equipment from the Vietnam Red Cross  Central Committee, the Vietnam Health Trade Union and the National Defense Trade Union.

The medical supplies and equipment, which were handed over between the two sides at a meeting on August 13 in Hanoi, will be delivered to the public security hospital.

Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Ngo Hoai Thu, Deputy Director of the Public Security Departmentof Party and Political Work, said that since the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in Da Nang, Hospital 199 has received more than 400 patients per day from the Da Nang General Hospital. Additionally, the hospital is now quarantining 315 COVID-19 suspects.

The doctors and nurses at the hospital always face a shortage of protective equipment (medical masks, antiseptic solutions, and protective suits).

The medical stuffs supported by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and other Central-levelTrade Union chapters are very significant to the public security doctors andmedical staff at Hospital 199 on the frontline of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
