Public Security Inspectorate rolls out working plan for 2020
The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on January 8 held a conference to review its task performance in 2019 and roll out its working plan for 2020.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and made a keynote speech at the event.
According to reports delivered by leaders of the inspectorate at the event, in 2019, the Public Security Inspectorate proactively advised the Public Security Central Party Committee and MPS leadership to issue high-quality documents on enhancing inspection work in the Public Security Forces.
During 2019, the Inspectorate conducted 300 inspections (including 26 unscheduled inspections) over the administrative work and professional operation of public security agencies and units. The inspectorate also received and worked with 1,218 citizens with complaints and handled 90.64% of 12,131 petitions and denunciations.
Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the MPS, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised and congratulated officers and soldiers of the Inspectorate on their achievements in 2019.

Regarding the agency’s missions in 2020, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh suggested it to focus on building a strong and clean Party organization and a strong, brave and competent public security inspection force.
The Inspectorate should pay more attention to spheres with high risks of wrongdoings in order to effectively prevent and promptly correct mistakes while promoting coordination with relevant agencies and units to effectively settle complaints and denunciations and successfully fulfill its missions.
