Public Security Trade Union organizes Sport Festival for Southern police

PSNews – The Public Security Trade Union Organization under the Ministry of Public Security on May 24 held the 11th Sport Festival 2018 for its members in public security agencies and units stationed in the South.

According to Lieutenant General Ksor Nham, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Techniques under the Ministry of Public Security, the event is to celebrate the 128th birthday of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2018), the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948-2018) and the 5th Public Security Trade Union Congress in the term 2018-2023.

Through sport competitions, public security trade union’s members could meet and exchange professional experiences, contributing to furthering  solidarity and sport and physical training movement among public security agencies and units, as well as promoting the emulation movement “Excellent and Creative Worker” among members of the trade union chapters of southern public security agencies and units.

The sport festival this year has drawn the participation of over 800 non-professional athletes from the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Police, Ho Chi Minh Municipal Fire Police, Can Tho Municipal Police, the police forces from Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Binh Thuan, Kien Giang, Ben Tre, Soc Trang, Vinh Long, Tien Giang provinces, the trade union chapters of the General Department of Politics and the General Department of Logistics and Techniques under the Ministry of Public Security.

The athletes compete in 4 categories including volleyball, badminton, tennis and tug of war.
