Public Security Trade Union provides supplies for doctors and nurses on frontline of COVID-19 fight

PSNews - Recently, the Executive Committee of the Public Security Trade Union (PSTU) visited and presented gifts to the public security doctors and nurses, who are running Field Hospital No. 2 in the COVID-19-hit province of Bac Giang.

Vietnam's fourth COVID-19 wave, which began late last month, is the country's biggest with Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City as epicenters. 

Amid the complicated development of the pandemic, hundreds of doctors, nurses and workers from Hospital 19/8 and Hospital of Traditional Medicines under the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) have volunteered to go to the COVID-19 epicenter of Bac Giang to support the local fight against the disease.

In order to support the functional forces working on the frontline of the fight against COVID-19, the Executive Committee of the PSTU has presented necessities and supplies to the public security medical workers currently running Field Hospital No. 2 in Bac Giang. 

The gifts, worth VND 150 million in total, included 166 pairs of shoes, 300 pairs of socks, 200 bottles of C effervescent tablets (vitamin C), 166 bottles of mouthwash, 50 boxes of bottled mineral salt water, 50 boxes of sausages and VDN 49 million in cash. 

Expressing their gratitude to the PSTU's support, leaders of Hospital 19/8 and Public Security Traditional Medicines Hospital affirmed that all public security doctors and nurses will exert all-out efforts to fulfill their tasks. They also hoped to receive further support from PSTU in the future.
