Public security youth launches Month of Youth 2019
- Youths of Quang Tri Provincial Police support disadvantaged people
- 137 youths nominated for Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Award 2018
The event saw the presence of Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Major General Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Department of Party Building and Political Work; and over 1,000 outstanding Youth Union members from public security units.
Speaking at the event, Major Dong Duc Vu, Secretary of the Public Security Youth Union Committee said that the Standing Board of the Youth Union Committee of the Public Security Forces agreed to take the theme "Youths of Public Security volunteer for the community" for the Youth Month 2019.
Major Dong Duc Vu also called upon all young public security officers and Youth Union members working for the forces to promote the sense of vanguardism, voluntarism and creativity to organize practical activities to bring about material and spiritual values to the community, contributing to affirming the role of the youth in general and the youth of the Public Security Forces in particular in the period of national industrialization and modernization.
On behalf of over 61,000 young police officers and members of Public Security Youth Union, Junior Lieutenant Nguyen Thi Thuy Dung, from the Youth Union Chapter of the High Command of Mobile Police, said that the Month of Youth is an occasion for Youth Union members to reflect the glorious tradition of the Youth Union and achievements of the Public Security Youth Union so as to promote the sense of patriotism and readiness to sacrifice themselves for the cause of national construction and defense.
After the launching ceremony, young police officers and soldiers participated in various activities, such as the voluntary blood donation program "A drop of blood for our beloved comrades", the "Public Security Youth's Creative Day", and the "Culture Space of Public Security Youth Union."
