The Subcommittee of Security and Health of APEC in collaboration with relevant central units and the Da Nang Municipal People's Committee held a rehearsal of protection plans for the APEC Economic Leaders' Week on October 22 morning, in Da Nang.
Participating in the drill were over 2,000 officers, soldiers of the Vietnamese People’s Armed Forces and medical force as well as hundreds of modern vehicles. Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong, Commander of the Mobile Police High Command chaired the rehearsal.
After finishing, the Subcommittee of Security and Health will hold a meeting to assess the results and make final necessary adjustments to the plans before officially deploying the APEC Summit Week functional forces on October 24.
