The Police Department for Social Order and Administrative Management (PDSOAM), under the Ministry of Public Security, on June 20, held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Research and Application Center for Residents Data (RAR) and to sign cooperation deals with strategic partners.
Earlier on June 11, the Minister of Public Security issued Decision No. 5068 to establish the RAR affiliated to the National Population Data Center, which is managed by the PDSOAM.
Addressing the ceremony, Senior Colonel Pham Cong Nguyen, Director of the PDSOAM emphasized that the RAR aims to provide quality products, services and equipment helping reduce administrative procedures and save time and money for people, businesses and organizations.
Its products and services include Chip-based ID card consulting services for security forces; fingerprint acquisition devices, chip readers, and statistical data analysis results.
The RAR has partnerships with large enterprises and corporations, including the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group - VNPT, GTEL ICT, and so on.
