RoK NPA hails Vietnamese police’s supports in crime prevention and fight

PSNews - The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS), in coordination with the National Police Agency (NPA) of the Republic of Korea (RoK), held ceremony on December 5 to honor Vietnamese police officers who made great contributions to the cooperation in crime prevention and fight between the two sides.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the NPA stated that, since the establishment of the Vietnam - RoK Information Group in 2015, the two sides have closely cooperated in preventing and fighting against crimes. Particularly, they have teamed up in arresting international criminal fugitives and quickly handling criminal cases involving citizens of the two countries.

Over the past time, the Foreign Relations Department, the Criminal Police Department, and the Criminal Investigation Agency under the MPS have effectively supported the RoK police in arresting a number of Korean internationally-wanted criminals. Recently, the Vietnamese side assisted the NPA in successfully arresting Lee Chang Su, a dangerous Korean fugitive, when he was hiding in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, Commander Kim Chang Yong presented Letters of Appreciation from the NPA to units and individuals of the MPS who obtained outstanding achievements in the crime prevention cooperation between the two sides.
