Scientific work contributes significantly to quality of task accomplishment of PSF

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on November 18 held a conference to review the five-year implementation of Resolution No.16 issued by the Central Party Committee of Public Security on “Public Security scientific work in new situation” and Directive No.02 issued by the MPS on “Strengthening Public Security scientific work in new situation.”

The conference saw the presence of Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the conference, Major General Do Le Chi, Director of the Public Security Department of Science, Strategy and History briefed the delegates on the results of the 5-year implementation of Resolution No.16 and Directive No.02.

Within framework of the event, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang and participating scientists and delegates discussed, reviewed and evaluated the results of the Public Security Forces’ scientific research work in all aspects.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Central Party Committee of Public Security, Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang praised the achievements of public security organizations and individuals in scientific research.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang stressed that, public security science and technology development is one of the key and regular tasks facilitating the professional missions of the Public Security Forces (PSF). Therefore, it is necessary to continue renovating all public security officers’ minds and strengthening the leadership of the Public Security Party’s committees and leaders in public security agencies and units about scientific research.

Besides, the PSF should also mobilize all potential resources and strengthen coordination and with other ministries and branches in scientific research. All public security agencies and units should review and promote the management, scientific research and application of scientific and technological advancements to their professional work, while developing a strategy for scientific and technological development in the PSF in the new period.

Deputy Minister Luong Tam Quang also urged the Department of Science, Strategy and History of Public Security, as the leading and specialized unit in scientific work of the MPS, to soon formulate and advise leaders of the MPS to issue Resolutions, Directives and Strategy to promote scientific and technological development in the period of 2020-2030.

At the conference, the organizers also presented Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security to 18 organizations and 45 individuals with outstanding achievements in scientific research.
