Security Camera operates effectively in Sa Dec flower village

Sa Dec city is known as “Capital of Bonsai’’ with 485 ha of flowers and plants. In the build up to the Tet holiday, burglars often take advantage of people’s carelessness to steal Bonsai or decorative trees and flowers. This causes worries and anxieties to local people. Against this backdrop, the Sa Dec City Police has mobilized people to contribute money to buying and installing in security cameras, under the motto “economical, practical, effective.’’

Security camera system helps Sa Dec City to reduce rate of crime related to Bonsai thefts.

At first, the security camera system was piloted in ward 3,4, and then deployed in the whole areas (9 communes and wards). The whole camera system comprises 157 cameras installed in 111 locations, with a total cost of nearly 1 billion VND.

After 2 months operating, the security camera system has detected 8 thefts.

The installation of security cameras has been facilitating local public security forces in discovering, identifying and investigating crimes; and improve local security, making tourists feel secure while visiting the city.

The Sa Dec City Police said they will continue to install more security cameras in the city, improve the effectiveness of cameras in maintaining social order and safety during the Tet Holiday 2017.
