Security Investigation Department awarded “Hero of People’s Armed Forces” title

The Security Investigation Department under the Ministry of Public Security held a solemn ceremony on December 11 to receive the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces” and honor typical teams and individuals in the 2015-2020 period.


The event was held on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the security investigation sector (December 31, 1951 - December 31, 2021).

Over nearly 70 years of the force’s history, generations of leaders, officers, and soldiers of the security investigation sector in general, of the Department of Security Investigation in particular have united in overcoming difficulties and bravely fighting against security-related crimes while actively participating in patriotic emulation movements and excellently completing the tasks assigned by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of Public Security.

For the outstanding achievements of the force, the State President on August 8 signed a decision to confer the title “Hero of the People's Armed Forces” on the Security Investigation Department.

At the ceremony, Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented the title of Hero of People’s Armed Forces to the department.

The PM, on behalf of the Party and State leadership, congratulated the department on the honor.

He lauded the Security Investigation Department’s efforts in detecting and handling security crimes, contributing to protecting national security, and maintaining social safety and order, and promoting national development over the last seven decades.

The government leader asked the department and the security investigation sector to place themselves and their operation under the direct leadership of the Party in every circumstance as well as comply with the laws in carrying out investigations.

The force was urged to work closely with units inside and outside of the Public Security Forces, especially central-level and local legal agencies, contributing to improving the efficiency of their investigation activities.

Additionally, the Party organization of the Security Investigation Department should strive to build a strong and exemplary Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, morality, and discipline.

Each official and officer of the department should continuously follow President Ho Chi Minh’s six teachings, have strong political mettle and good expertise, and creatively apply Party’s guidelines and State’s laws and policies to their work, the PM asked.

On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security’s leadership and the Security Investigation Department, Minister To Lam thanked the Prime Minister and other Party and State leaders for their care for the force.
