Seminar on combination of theory and practice on training kicks off

PSNews - The People's Police University in Ho Chi Minh City held a seminar to promote combination of theory and practice on training at public security academies and colleges, on November 3rd.

The Subcommittee for Social Order and Safety, the Theoretical Council of the Public Security Ministry in collaboration with the People's Police Academy and the People's Police University opened the seminar, aiming to implement Plan No50/KH-BCA-HDLL dated 7-03-2016 of the Theoretical Council of Public Security Ministry.

The seminar drew the participation of Lieutenant General Dong Dai Loc, Deputy Director of the General Department of Police; Lieutenant General Nghiem Xuan Yem, Director of the People's Police Academy; Major General Do Ngoc Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics as well as leaders of the public security academies and colleges in southern region. 

The organizing board of seminar has received 50 scientific reports from leaders of the Public Security Ministry, Departments, local police units, leaders of the Border Guard Command, scientists, lectures, students of public security academies and colleges. 

At the seminar, the participants discussed various issues, analyzing the current situation, training targets, training programmes, and teaching approaches to promoting combination of theory and practice at public security academies and colleges. 

They also reviewed and assessed the cooperation and coordination among public security academies, colleges, local police units in training students at schools and organizing practices, field trips and internship programmes for lectures and students to meet the requirements of the reality and to ensure security and order in education and training. 

From the findings and outcomes of the discussion, it is necessary to implement solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of education and training of all public security schools.
