Seminar on prevention and combat against violent crime in Hai Phong

• More efforts and solutions required to curb crimes of violence in Vietnam
• Domestic violence triggers 80 percent of divorce
• Training course on domestic violence prevention kicked off

Senior Colonel Nguyen Dac Hoan, Vice Director of the PPA and Senior Colonel Nguyen Van Coong, Vice Director of the Hai Phong Police co-chaired the seminar.

During the seminar, leaders of the Hai Phong Police Department and district police divisions discussed the overview of the local security and order situation as well as difficulties, obstacles to investigating and handling cases of violence in the city, particularly murders, and deliberate injuries.

Participants in the seminar proposed various measures to enhance the efficiency of prevention and combat against this kind of crime, to perfect criminal legal systems and procedures to solve relevant cases in an objective and lawful manner.

In addition, police at all levels should enhance social and professional prevention approaches, to mobilize all people to participate in protection of the security and order, and to promote the role of family and community to minimize chances of crimes, especially violent  crime.
