Senior Colonel Dang Van Lan receives second-class Fatherland Protection Order

PSNews – The Public Security Newspaper on July 5 held a teleconference to honor Senior Colonel Dang Van Lan, former Deputy Editor in Chief of the Public Security Newspaper, who has just been awarded by the State President a Fatherland Protection Order of second class.

At the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thuy Quynh, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Public Security Newspaper recalled important milestones in his 41–year career, working at and witnessing the development of the newspaper, and announced Decision No. 663-QD-CTN dated April 14, 2017 on the awarding of the second-class Fatherland Protection Order of the President to Senior Colonel Dang Van Lan.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Editorial Board and officers, reporters and employees of the newspaper, Major General Pham Van Mien congratulated Senior Colonel Dang Van Lan and affirmed that the award is in recognition of the contribution of Senior Colonel Dang Van Lan to the public security forces in general and to the newspaper in particular.

He expressed his hope that the former Deputy Editor in Chief of the biggest news agency of the public security forces will continue helping younger generations to fulfill their tasks assigned by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and leaders of the General Department of Politics.

Senior Colonel Dang Van Lan expressed his sincere thanks to the Editor-in-Chief and all generations of leaders, officers, reporters, and employees of the Public Security Newspaper for their effective support and assistance during his career at the newspaper.

He then pledged to restlessly improve his ethical qualities as a Party member and a police officer in the future.
