Senior officers promoted to General ranks
PSNews-The Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security have handed over the Prime Minister’s decisions to promote public security officers to the rank of General on December 30.

Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Minister of Public Security attended the ceremony. Various leaders of General Departments, Departments and Commands under the MPS and relevant agencies also took part in the event.

Addressing the event, Minister To Lam stressed that the decisions of promotion demonstrated the recognition and appreciation by the Party, State and people of the contributions of the Public Security Forces in the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social safety and order, as well as the development of the Public Security Forces as a whole.

He said, “This is the honor of not only the promoted senior officers, but also the whole forces.”
He noted that all newly promoted officers are important position holders in public security agencies and units. Minister Lam said the officers had devoted their minds and hearts to the forces, and strived to overcome all difficulties and fulfil all assigned tasks and missions, contributing to the cause of protecting national security and maintaining social order.

The Minister expressed his hope that the newly promoted officers would continue making their efforts and promoting a high sense of responsibility to their agencies or units. Regardless of their positions, they must serve and devote themselves to the people and people’s interests, serving as excellent leaders, maintaining solidarity and unity of their agencies and units, upholding bravery and wisdom to complete any assigned responsibilities and tasks.

On behalf of the newly promoted officers, Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong, Commander of the Mobile Police Command expressed his sincere and deep gratitude as well as his loyalty to the Party, State and people. He promise to serve the country and people wholeheartedly; continue to study and improve knowledge, expertise, abilities skills, and strive to complete all tasks assigned by the Party and the State, the People and the Ministry of Public Security.
