Son La Police support people to overcome consequences of storms
On April 12, whirlwind, heavy rain and hail have caused much damage to property and agricultural production of people in Moc Chau town, Chieng Hac, Dong Sang, Muong Sang, and Chieng Son (Moc Chau district, Son La province).

By 10am of April 12, there were 244 houses with roofs damaged, including over 30 completely unroofed. Heavy rain caused blackouts in Moc Chau town while local roads were partially blocked due to landslides.
44,000 m2 of greenhouse of Tropical Floriculture Joint Stock Company as well as over 400 hectares of maize, vegetables and fruit trees of the locals were seriously damaged. The total loss was estimated to mount to VND 12 billion.
In the situation, the Moc Chau district police have mobilized hundreds of police officers and soldiers, in coordination with the functional forces, to evacuate local people and their property in the storm-hit locations to safe places. They also joined hands to overcome the aftermath of the natural disasters.
The local police units assigned 100% of their officers and soldiers to be ready for search and rescue missions. Meanwhile, the local traffic police were assigned to guide traffic flows at landslide or waterlogged road sections to ensure safety for travelers and vehicles.
