Southern police units start shooting and martial arts competitions
PSNews-The 2017 Shooting and Martial Arts Competitions for youths of the whole Southern Police Force kicked off on March 22 at People’s Police College 2.
Major General Do Ngoc Can, Vice Director of the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces attended the ceremony.
The event has presented a practical activity to celebrate the 86th Anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union of Vietnam and the 60th Vietnam’s Sport Day.
The competition, which takes place in two days, 22 and 23 of March, has drawn the participation of 18 police units in various categories, including Taekwondo, Karate, shooting and performances of police martial arts.
Speaking at the event, Major General Do Ngoc Can praised the organizers of the sporting event for their good preparation as well as hailed the enthusiastic participation of the teams.
The sporting event serves as a good occasion for young policemen of Southern units to show their professional will-power and martial arts skills through free combat sparring events, in which athletes are expected to combine police martial arts and the quintessence of popular martial arts in Vietnam to deal with real-life tactical situations.
