Special function vehicles staffed to police in key areas

PSNews-The General Department of Logistics and Techniques (G.D 5) under the Ministry of Public Security on January 16 handed over special function combat vehicles to local police units in key local areas at the Thang Tri National Reserve Depot.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam attended and addressed the event.

Participants at the event took the chance to check the actual modern features of the vehicles, including 4 camera screens, bullet and mine resistance, separate engine compartment and fuel tanks, combat maneuverability, and 10 seat capacity.

The modern special function vehicles are expected to be the effective crime fighting means.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam emphasized that the Central Public Security Party Committee and Leaders of the MPS always direct local police forces to increase their reserves to effectively respond to regular tasks given by the MPS as well as possible contingencies.

In response to the increasingly complicated situation with criminal activities featuring much danger and daredevilry, it is vital to arm local police forces with modern equipment and tools, the Vice Minister noted.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Thanh urged local police units to effectively operate and use the staffed vehicles while focusing on use safety, in the combat against crime.
