Students of Public Security University contribute 6,000 working days to people in Dong Thap

PSNews - Students of the D26 course of the Public Security University have worked 6,000 days in total during their voluntary campaign in Dong Thap province, doing many meaningful and practical activities. 

Senior Colonel, Dr. Tran Xuan Thanh, Vice President of the Public Security University said, “The voluntary campaign took place for over 3 weeks in 7 communes of Cao Lanh district with the participation of 365 students of the D26 course and 23 teachers of the university.

Students of the D26 course built rural lighting systems and concreted rural roads. They also repaired bridges, cleared up bushes, built several youth projects and gave tuition to local children. 

The total value of construction was estimated at about 1.4 billion VND.

Especially, the university’s teachers and students in cooperation with the Cao Lanh District Police presented a comradeship house to Senior Lieutenant, staff of the General sub-Division worth of 30 million VND and repaired 8 houses for poor people.

In addition, the university and the provincial police offered free heath checkups and medicine to 125 poor people totally worth of 100 million VND, broadcast 8 radio programs to disseminate the voluntary campaign, environmental protection and disease prevention as well as the observance of the Constitution and laws and traffic regulations.

At the end of the campaign, the Director of the Dong Thap Provincial Police, the Chairman of the Cao Lanh District People's Committee and Cao Lanh District Youth Union chapter awarded 11 organizations and 14 individuals of the Public Security University for their excellent achievements in the campaign.
