Thousands police officers help locals mitigate flood consequences

PSNews – The Quang Binh Provincial Police has mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers to support people in critically flooded areas, and local teachers in cleaning up their homes and school facilities after the recent flooding, helping them settle down their lives and reopen schools.

On November 5th, 35 schools in Quang Binh remained waterlogged, and thousands of students were not able to go to school.

These included 20 schools including 3 secondary schools, 8 primary schools and 9 kindergartens in Le Thuy district; 4 schools in Quang Ninh district; 8 heavily damaged schools in Tuyen Hoa district,namely Chau Hoa 2 primary school and Chau Hoa, Van Hoa, Tien Hoa, Minh Cam, Nam Phong, Huyen Thuy and Thiet Son kindergartens.

Many schools could not reopen due to their locations near rivers or in low areas or heavy damages by flooding.  

Reportedly, students in flooded areas had to stay off school from October 31st.

During these days, the Quang Binh Provincial Police mobilized thousands of officers and soldiers to support critically flooded areas, helping people clean up their homes and settle down their lives and production. 

Also, police officers and soldiers in small groups went to local schools to support local teachers in cleaning up their schools to soon welcome students back to school.
