Thua Thien Hue police successfully safeguard Complex of Hue Monuments

PSNews – The Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department and the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre recently held a conference to review the 4-year implementation of their coordination regulations on ensuring public security and order at the Complex of Hue Monuments in the period of 2015-2019.

Over the last 4 years under the coordination deals signed between the 2 units, the Thua Thien Hue Police Department has mobilized over 2,500 police officers and the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre has mobilized over 900 officials and guards to ensure safety for political, cultural and social events taking place at the Complex of Hue Monuments.

The Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department and the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre agreed to renew the coordination deal for 2019 and years to come.

These events included the yearly Hue Festival, meetings between Party and State leaders and international high-ranking delegations, particularly the visit of Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko to Hue Citadel in 2017, APEC ministerial conferences, as well as other investment promotion conferences and international conferences and seminars.

Besides, the Hue Museum of Ancient Antiquities and the Hue Municipal Police Sub-department and relevant offices of the Thua Thien Hue Police Department also promoted coordination in ensuring security and safety of displayed artifacts in Long An and An Dinh Palaces as well as taking comprehensive approaches to fire safety and environmental protection at relics sites.

In order to further strengthen the cooperation in ensuring public security and order at the Complex of Hue Monuments, the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department and the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre agreed to renew the coordination deal for 2019 and years to come.

On this occasion, the Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 organizations and 8 individuals while the Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 organizations and 11 individuals, who all had obtained outstanding achievements in ensuring public security and order at the Complex of Hue Monuments in the period of 2015-2019.
