Tong Le Chan Prison receives first class Fatherland Protection Order

PSNews – The staff of the Tong Le Chan Prison under Ministry of Public Security celebrated the 40th anniversary of its foundation on September  21st and received a Fatherland Protection Order of 1st Class. Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Bang, Director of the General Department of Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance, Ministry of Public Security attended the event.

The ceremony has recalled the 40-year journey since establishment of Tong Le Chan prison.

The unit was established on August 20th 1977 and stationed in Minh Tam Commune, Hon Quan District, Binh Phuong Province.

Over 40 years of construction and growth, the staff of the prison has tried their best to reach all assigned tasks, particularly in inmate detainment, management and rehabilitation while ensuring absolute safety for its assets, officers and workers and inmates in all situations. The unit also reclaimed more than 800 hectares of fallow land for industrial crops plantations, such as rubber, cashew.

Every year, the staff of the Tong Le Chan Prison focuses on continuously innovating the methods and improving the quality and efficiency of prisoner re-education and vocational training while encouraging them to work hard and produce more products to raise their living standard and to serve the society.

Over 40 years, the staff of the Tong Le Chan Prison have honorably received three Fatherland Protection Orders from the President, two Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, and three Flags of Leading Unit in the movement "For National Security" from the Ministry of Public Security, as well as other rewards from the Party, the State, the Ministry of Public Security and the locality where the unit is stationed.

For their recent achievements, the staff of the Tong Le Chan Prison was awarded a Fatherland Protection Order of 1st class from the President.

Colonel Tran Dinh Hai, Chief Warden of the Tong Le Chan Prison also received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. Other individuals of the prison’s staff were honored by the Ministry of Public Security, of the General Department of Verdict Execution and Judicial Assistance, and Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee.
